【開催報告】国際共同研究「公共セクターにおけるAI活用と生産性向上：8か国比較調査」の中間技術ワークショップ及び「日本酒学」エクスカーションの実証を実施しました
アジア生産性機構（APO）より本学が受託した国際共同研究「公共セクターにおけるAI活用と生産性向上：8か国比較調査」にかかる中間技術ワークショップを、本学駅南キャンパス「ときめいと」にて2025年12月10日に開催しました。本国際ワークショップでは、調査対象地域8か国 （バングラデシュ、インド、日本、韓国、マレーシア、フィリピン、台湾、タイ）に関するこれまでの調査内容と分析枠組みを共有し、生産性測定にかかる分析深化に向けて整理すべき概念的・技術的論点を確認しました。
また併せて、観光庁より本機構が受託している「将来の国際会議主催者育成のための地域・大学連携等促進事業」の一環として、3つ目となる学術ツーリズム「日本酒学エクスカーション（Sakeology Fieldwork）」の実証を、国際ワークショップ参加者を対象に実施しました。参加者は、日本酒を科学・文化・社会・歴史の観点から体系化する「日本酒学」の学術的解説、酒蔵における醸造工程の視察、新潟ワインコーストでの比較醸造体験を通じて、醸造文化を基軸とした地域理解に関する学術的な体験を深めました。
本機構は、国際共同研究の一層の推進に加え、研究成果を共有する国際会議と地域資源を有機的に結びつけた学術ツーリズムモデルの確立を通じて、研究交流の深化ならびに地域発信力の強化を今後も継続的に図ってまいります。

Interim Technical Workshop of the APO Eight-Economy Comparative Study
Niigata, Japan and Pilot Demonstration of the “Sakeology” Excursion

This international workshop constitutes an interim technical review within the “AI Adoption for Productivity Improvement in the Public Sector” project, commissioned to Niigata University by the Asian Productivity Organization (APO). The workshop was held on December 10, 2025, at Tokimate, Niigata University’s Ekiminami Campus.
The project examines eight economies—Bangladesh, India, Japan, Korea, Malaysia, the Philippines, Taiwan, and Thailand—focusing on (1) the status of AI adoption in public-sector organizations, (2) the potential contribution of AI to productivity improvement, and (3) the institutional and operational factors shaping these dynamics. The workshop aimed to review interim findings, refine the analytical framework, and identify practical approaches and technical issues requiring further consolidation.
In conjunction with the workshop, Niigata University also conducted a pilot demonstration of its third academic tourism program, the “Sakeology Excursion” for workshop participants. This initiative was carried out as part of the “Future International Conference Host Development Program,” commissioned by the Japan Tourism Agency.
Through academic lectures on Sakeology—the world’s first academic field proposed by Niigata University, which systematizes Japanese sake from scientific, cultural, social, and historical perspectives—together with site visits to sake breweries to observe brewing processes and comparative brewing experiences at the Niigata Wine Coast, participants deepened their scholarly understanding of regional culture centered on fermentation and brewing traditions.
In addition to further advancing international collaborative research, Niigata University will continue to steadily pursue both the deepening of research exchange and the strengthening of regional outreach by establishing an academic tourism model that organically links international conferences for sharing research outcomes with local resources.
